fisk tacos

Fisk means fish in Swiss.  George and I are busy sorting through tour books of Switzerland.  We are planning on visiting the country in early June if we can raise the funds to get there.  George has a friend that offered us a place to stay by Lake Lucerne.

Me being the adventurous photographer, I would tour every square inch possible in a week.  I was once told, I covered more territory in one week than most people do in a year, when I had the good fortune to stay with a friend in Boulder, Colorado in October, 2011.

We plan on visiting the lush green farms in the Alps to see how Swiss cheese is made and try the local cuisine.  Every year, in early June cows are adorned with flowers and bells and are herded to the high Alpine meadows while celebrations are held in villages.  I'm hoping to capture the landscape, the wildflowers, sunrise and sunsets, architecture, people and food.  George will come up with recipes and recreate the meals we will try while in Switzerland.

The photographic book will include a chapter a day of each place we visit and it's local cuisine with a recipe.  Here's an example of George's delicious, beautiful meals.
